The Laboratory for Quantitative Experience Design at the University of Utah is seeking volunteers for a study regarding adventure video games. The purpose of this study is to understand how people make inferences about upcoming story content during narrative-based video game play. You will not receive any direct benefit for taking part in this study. However, your participation in this study will help advance the science behind video games and their design.
Overall, this experiment is expected to last 35-50 minutes, depending on your reading / typing speed.
If you agree to take part in this study, you will be asked to play a video game developed originally at North Carolina State University. Your gameplay will be textually logged and audio/video recorded in a completely anonymized fashion. After gameplay, you will answer some questions about your experience.
You must be 18 years or older to participate.
